Q: What is In-portal Platform?
A: In-portal is a collection of programs that help you build a web site with advanced functionality without any programming or database knowledge. In-portal Platform is a central program that allows all In-portal programs (modules) to run together on the same web site and share information. The Platform enables In-portal modules with various functionalities to work as one web site and have one centralized Administrative Console. In-portal Platform is distributed free of charge and is available to all registered users at www.in-portal.net
Q: What is In-commerce?
A: In-commerce is a module of In-portal that provides e-commerce and shopping cart functionality. In-commerce, just like any other modules, requires the free In-portal Platform. The Platform is automatically added to your shopping cart when you buy In-commerce.
Q: What In-portal modules are available?
A: Currently In-portal family has four modules: In-commerce, In-link, In-bulletin, In-newz. The features of each module are described on their respective web sites. Each module requires the free In-portal Platform, which is added automatically to your shopping cart when you purchase any of the modules.
Q: Can I use several In-portal modules on one web site?
A: Yes! This is the whole idea of In-portal – you can combine any modules that you like, and as long as you have In-portal Platform installed, they will work seamlessly together. Each module offers a specific set of features, and each module can work either as a standalone program or in concert with other modules. Some modules share and complement features of each other. The only limitation is that you can have only one copy of each module running on one web site (or on one In-portal Platform).
Q: If I buy In-commerce, do I have to buy any other modules?
A: No, the only program required to run In-commerce is the In-portal Platform, and it is free for all registered users. It is automatically added to your shopping cart when you buy In-commerce. If you want to have the functionality offered by other modules on your web site, for example, add a Forum to your online store, you can buy other modules (in this case In-bulletin), and they will seamlessly integrate with your existing In-commerce installation. However, you don’t have to get anything else to enjoy the online e-commerce solution provided by In-commerce.
Q: How do I become a registered user? Q: How do I get the In-portal Platform?
A: To register on our web site and to download the In-portal Platform, all you need to do is go to the complete In-portal product catalog, add the free In-portal Platform to your shopping cart and complete the checkout. If you already have an account with us, you can simply log in with your email and password during the checkout; otherwise, you must register with a valid email and a physical billing address. You will be requested to provide a credit card to validate the address. No charges will be made on the card, the Platform is completely free. If you have trouble completing the checkout, please contact us.
Q: I’ve heard that you offer free installation of In-commerce on my server. How can I order it?
A: To request a free installation, simply add the item called “Free Installation” to your shopping cart when you are purchasing In-commerce. This item can be found in our In-portal product catalog. Alternatively, after you purchase In-commerce, you can submit an online ticket requesting a free installation service. We are going to ask you a few simple questions, such as your FTP information, and your installation will be ready the same day!
